A School Free Life

Last Friday, Me, nanny, Jess grandad went to York for a meal at an Italian restaurant that my nanny bought vouchers to, it was quite nice but i wont be paying the price, its not worth it really. We also took a walk down the Shambles, it was strange as I never seen a street like that before :) We also went to a museum. It was okay, didn't like it THAT much but there were some interesting trains :/ On Monday we went BACK to Shire Brook valley to do some more stuff, this time... BUG HUNTING :D  It was a good trip out, mostly cuz I think I've found a new species!!! EVEN OUR TEACHER COULDN'T NAME IT! She was quite exited at what I found and took some pictures. :) We did a bit more but I'm NOT going into that, hehe :3 This is another thing we did, flower bashing :) Then, on Tuesday, we went to York for a theatre show (Horrible Histories) and I didn't like it at all -_- It was just too.... ANNOYING, there WERE some funny bits, and a couple of jump-scares, which, ...

NO bugs were hurt in the making of this blog post!!! Yesterday, me nanny and Jessica went to Shire Brook Valley for a pond dipping session. When we got here we hung around for a bit, waiting, bored.... then we were brought inside and talked about life cycles and what we should find in the ponds. We then just quickly ran over some rules and we had a choice of two ponds, we went to the furthest one, about a minutes walk... so not they far away. Anyways, here are some photos of what we caught! Mayfly Lava. Water Skater. GAAAAAAH!!! WE CAUGHT A JESSICA! PUT IT BACK!!!! We didn't just do pond dipping though, a couple of us (me included) did Clarity Testing, and the water was surprisingly clean, I could see 11 dots out of 12. I didn't know pond water could be that clear! The couple of us doing to Clarity Testing also did a PH Test, I got a 5,5 which means the water is quite acidic! I didn't see anybody else's results though... so I might of had ...
